Sue Weber has been an icon for ISA players to look up to. Building off of her success as a US National ODP player, Sue received numerous honors at the collegiate level where she led Hofstra University Women’s Soccer to the most successful seasons in the school’s history, while tallying up personal honors inluding regularly being named to the All American team, three time Defensive Player of the Year of the CAA conference as well as a very long list of other honors and awards.
Sue’s success has not ended with her collegiate soccer days at Hofstra. In fact, Sue has continued to achieve at such a great pace that she is widely recognized as one of the nation’s finest female soccer players. Above and beyond her youth and collegiate soccer success, Sue has earned achievements in both the WPSL and USL "W" league where she led a WPSL team to a national championship by assisting the game winning goal and another to the national championship series by anchoring an exceptional defensive unit revered as one of the best in the country. Serving as a captain for the 2008 Long Island Rough Rider’s women’s "W" league team provided Sue with continued experience and exposure which aided in her selection to the Boston Breakers of Women’s Professional Soccer.
Women’s Professional Soccer is featuring many of the best women’s soccer players in the world, including world cup standouts from Brazil, England, Austrailia, China, Japan and the United States. We are proud to recognize Sue as among these great players and feel privileged for ISA’s youth players to interact with her on such a regular basis.
It is with great pride and honor that ISA recognize SUE WEBER for her excellence and example for our players.
