GINA DIMARTINO (ISA EMERALDS ALUMNA) NAMED TO HERMANN TROPHY WATCH LIST

GINA DIMARTINO, alumna of the nationally acclaimed Commack ISA-Emeralds team, a senior at Boston College was recently named to the 2009 Hermann Trophy Watch List.

There are 45 of the top NCAA Women's Division I intercollegiate soccer players that comprise the Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy Watch List for 2009.

DiMartino, a senior forward, was named to the list last season. The New York native missed four games in 2008 due to her commitment with US soccer. DiMartino was a member of the US Women's Under-20 team at the World Cup in Santiago, Chile, which won gold. She finished the season with two goals and five assists and recorded three game-winning assists.

This is what ISA director Ron Alber said of Gina Dimartino upon learning of the announcment, "Gina is a quick, skillfully player with a special ability to attack players 1v1.  She was a key element for my Commack ISA-Emeralds team's success and has proven successful at the collegiate, national and international levels of play.  I am so proud to have coached her as a player and look forward to another opportunity to work with her in the women's game some time soon."

ISA would like to congratulate Gina Dimartino and her entire family on this great announcment.
